Semi Permanent Make Up
Semi Permanent cosmetic makeup is the art and science of implanting colour into your skin. Sometimes you will see permanent make-up referred to as ‘cosmetic tattooing’ or ‘semi-permanent make-up’, as the result can fade over time.
We use specialised sterile instruments to place hypoallergenic colour pigments into the deeper layer of skin. Over a 10 day period, the colour will slowly fade as it is naturally exfoliated from your skin, leaving the true colour embedded in the dermis.
Semi Permanent Makeup is ideal to create a natural looking brow where there is little or no hair. The eyes can be opened up by subtle addition of soft eyeliner, and definition and emphasis can be added to the lips with a gentle touch of colour.
Please note you must have an appointment at least 24 hours prior to your procedure for skin testing
Semi Pernament Makeup Facts
- You will need to allow 2 hours for your first procedure. If you intend to have a “full face” (3 procedures together) then you should allow 5 hours in total.
- You can save up to 100 hours in a single year applying makeup plus the money you’ll save buying cosmetic.
- New topical anaesthetics have been developed especially for permanent makeup for eyeliner, eyebrows and lipcolour procedures. These creams and gels are applied to the desired area before and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience possible. Some people describe the sensation as a “tingling” feeling.
- Semi permanent make-up is long-lasting approximately 2 years. The darker the colour, such as black, the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colours are often more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming and breakdown by the body.
